we took proper notice of your so far scheduled travelling plan, which includes a final stop in the city of Geneva, Switzerland. However, it should be given the utmost attention to the fact that Switzerland does not belong to the European Union, as yet. Consequently, no special agreement exists between Switzerland and France concerning the free exchange of tourists. Particularly, a tourist Visa issued from France may be not be acceptable at all for the Swiss frontier police.
We kindly advice you to therefore explore this point directly with
your airline or travel agent, or with any representative of the Swiss
embassy, to avoid the most unpleasant event of remaining blocked on
the Swiss side of the border.

I am happy to let you know at this stage that I have been
able to make some prgress on the required calculations as I had
indicated in my preliminary contents(CLICK HERE) for the Abstract for the 3rd
Alpine Conference on the Solid State NMR whcih I sent along with
my application for the student stipend. I shall be soon finalising
my Abstarct and try to submit electronically.
However I do not have any information yet from the
organizers regarding the unaccessibility of the Abstract Text Box
conveniently at the ABSTRACT SUBMISSION page of the Website for
the conference which is: http://www.ens-lyon.fr/STIM/alpine
web.html
I have sent more than one email message to the
alpine.SSNMR@ens-lyon.fr in this regard. If I continue to have
this inaccessibilty from here, as I have indicated in my earlier
messages, I can send my ABSTRACT as EMail ATTACHMENT. An early
clarification in this regard would help proceed with submission of
ABSTRACT. Ishall soon be sending in my REGISTRATION Form duly
filled-in.
This may be considered as my acceptance of the STUDENT
STIPEND for participation in the 3rd Alpine Conference on Solid
State NMR, Chamonix Mont Blanc, France
As I assess things from the terminals here. at the ABSTRACT
SUBMISSION Page the Vertcal Scroll BAR might have to be reduced in
length to make the OK button visible to place cursor and click.
This also would enable tp view the full text typed into the BOX.
Other features do not seem to be requiring any comment.But
this vertical scroll bar length as it is is good enough for
viewing the OK button conveniently which is placed below the
relevant box in this abstarct submission page.

We are pleased to inform you that your application for a student stipend
to attend the 3rd Alpine Conference on Solid-State NMR in Chamonix-Mont
Blanc, 14-18 September, 2003, has been accepted.
The stipend permits you to register for the conference without paying
the registration fee. (Registration includes lunches and dinners from
sunday night through wednesday evening).
In addition to the registration fee, we will pay your hotel bill
directly to the hotel for a cost up to 210 Euros maximum (which covers
four nights in one of the three star hotels in a twin room with
breakfast). Hotel costs over this amount are at your expense.
Note that if you have not done so already you must register for the
conference and reserve your accomodation.
If you have not already done so, you should also submit your abstract
electronically through our web page (http://www.ens-lyon.fr/STIM/alpineweb.html).
Please let us know immediately if you accept the student stipend, or if
you have any other enquiries (email : alpine.SSNMR@ens-lyon.fr).
If we do not receive confirmation from you by the 8th June, we will
assume that you do not accept this offer, and we will attribute the
stipend to another candidate.
